I understand that your newborn baby's safety and comfort is your main priority. It will be reassuring to know that I have specialist training on the safety of baby posing techniques, I undergo training each year. I am a member of BANPAS and The Guild Of Photographers. My experience of working with children and having children of your own is also a plus. The studio is full of specialist props, backdrops, bowls, buckets, fabrics, hair bands, hats & outfits sounds.
I absolutely adore seeing our clients return time and time again, from their newborn photoshoot, and various milestones after that. A baby/Milestone session is fantastic for the your baby is sitting unaided, I will get lots of gorgeous expressions and smiles. Sitter sessions are usually done when they are sitting unaided, so from around 6-9 months. He or she may even be starting to crawl by then, so it's lovely for me to be able to capture this in a professional studio with beautiful results.

Hi! My name is Lizzy Wood,
I am a married 44 year old mum of two beautiful girls (Faith & Jennifer) aged 23 & 14 and a 7 year old son called Edward!
I am trained in newborn photography, I undertake training with some of the best baby photographers in the country, pretty much every year.
I have always been interested in photography, art and design, but after doing my A'levels in Art and Graphic design, then working at Bank Of America in debt management and having our children, I put my dream on the back burner while my husband made his career in IT. I then decided to do something I had held off on for so long....so.....I quit my job at the bank and threw myself into learning photography. I soon began working for John at Studio 900 and gained lots of experience in weddings and portraiture. I worked with him for 7 years!
I have now been doing photography for 14 years, I will never look back or want to do anything else in life (well, other than being an astronaut, which is actually what I would love to do! But I do need to be realistic!) I have been running my own company for 10 years now and enjoying every moment.
I am a member of The Guild Of Photographers, In November 2018 I was awarded top 3 Wirral photographers by ThreeBestRated.co.uk!...and again in 2019! ......and recently the top of the top 3 Wirral photographers for 2020 & 2021! 4 years in a row!
I have also won 26 Bronze Bar awards with The Guild Of Photographer. I was over the moon!
We love meeting all the new wonderful family’s that pass through my studio. My real passion is newborn photography. To me, capturing your new arrivals first couple of weeks is priceless. We all know that newborn babies change daily and we often forget what our children were like as newborns, their little milk spots, their little creases, their chubby cheeks.... So it’s a must to capture this on camera for you to treasure.
At my studio I am fully equipt with many props, backdrops, beautiful fabrics, layers, bonnets, tie backs and beautiful newborn outfits, so all you need to do is bring your little one along with their milk and nappies as I take care of the rest. I have a range of colour’s and textures, baskets, bowls and a newborn posing beanbag so you will get a wide range of different images. If you bring your newborn within the first two weeks of their life, I will be able to get those stunning sleeping baby images, after the two weeks it’s more difficult as they become much more alert and are harder to pose. But in my experience, all babies are so different, they lead the session and they are in charge!

Being a professional newborn photographer we have years of experience to be able take the most gorgeous pictures of your beautiful baby - from posing and styling to being able to professionally edit newborn skin- yes, newborn skin isn't perfect, it can be blotchy, have areas of dried skin, bits of red & may be some jaundice, also lots of milk spots! Here we love milk spots because it show how new your baby is so we often don't touch these.
Before you know it, 6 months will have flown by. Your baby is only this small for such a short time, so it's important to capture those precious moments where they look "new" and we often forget what they looked like....they change so much.
With our years of experience & constant training with other fantastic photographers nationwide, our range of poses are advanced, meaning we can safety pose and wrap your baby in the most precious way. We also encourage parents and other siblings to be involved too, because it is such a special thing for the whole family. Welcoming a new member to your family and capturing them in a professional and delicate way. We will make you feel so comfortable in our lovely Wirral studio. We believe all babies are special, IVF babys, Adopted babies, same sex coupled babies, babies with special needs....we love welcoming every child and family into our studio.

Training....
in 2016 I completed a day at a newborn photography workshop, here I trained in all aspects of newborn photography, from positioning of the baby, parent preparation, setting up and styling for the session, camera technique and settings, safety handling of baby, and soothing techniques to keep baby asleep throughout the session. It was such a great day and I have now gained a certificate to show that I trained in Newborn Photography.
In February 2019 I completed further newborn training with the talented Debbie Booth in her Bolton studio. I feel it is important to keep up with training, learning new poses & techniques. Most importantly the baby's safety and comfort.
In 2020 we trained with Emma Jane who is the most fantastic newborn photography trainer, she came from Oxford to our studio to brush up our skills. Emma travels all over the country teaching new skills and baby posing safety to newborn photographers. We had a blast!
This is most definitely the career I have always wanted and I hope to make people happy through my lens, and, with love of course. I choose the name From Lizzy With Love Photography because it suits what I'm all about, I take photographs with love and aim to get the best shots I possibly can that capture the moment.
