Newborn Photoshoot's...FAQ

Updated: Jul 7, 2021

When is the best time to book my newborn baby session?

The best time to schedule your session is while you are pregnant, a lot of clients book in with us here at From Lizzy With Photography just after they get their due date, so between 12 & 20 weeks into their pregnancy. This way you can rest assured that your Newborn Photoshoot (https://www.fromlizzywithlovephotography.co.uk/newborn) will occur within 2 weeks of birth, the very best time to get the most beautiful curled up womb photographs! Our weekly calendar fills up fast and we can only take on a limited amount of newborns each month. But even if you haven't thought about booking a session until you have had your baby, don't worry, I am sure that we can fit you in.... but Let’s make sure that we have your session on the calendar booked in before the birth so that you don’t have to think about it once the baby is here in your arms. You can schedule your newborn session here by using the contact form... https://www.fromlizzywithlovephotography.co.uk/contact-book

How do we book without knowing our session date?

We usually provisionally book newborn sessions for a week after your due date and simply stay in touch! Once you have had your bundle of joy...we will set a date that suits us all, including siblings and partners so they can join in too.

How soon should we have our newborn photoshoot after giving birth?

The sooner the better!!! Newborns tend to stay fast asleep a few days after birth and because of this we are able to gently move your little one into some beautiful womb poses. After around two weeks, this is not as easy to do. After 14 days babies begin to stretch and much more alert and nosey! and the poses won’t be as easy to accomplish, but we have ways of still settling and posing babies of older ages, so never get worried to ask us any question regarding a newborn photoshoot and your worries with their age.

Can we also include sibling and family photos with our new baby?

Absolutely! Photographing your little one surrounded by their family is a great experience for everyone involved. We especially love back lit images with older siblings and mum & dad holding your newborn

How much do From Lizzy With Love Photography newborn sessions cost?

Your newborn and family packages start from just £299. To view full package pricing click https://www.fromlizzywithlovephotography.co.uk/newborn

How long will my newborn photoshoot session take?

Your session will take between 2 to 4 hours, depending on various things. Allowing times for feeding and changing your baby.... and how easy they are to settle and pose, and obviously if siblings are involved etc. The atmosphere is very relaxed and comfortable and the pace of our session will be determined by the baby, and also how much fun we have, as we aim for you all to thoroughly enjoy the photoshoot.

My baby is already here! Am I too late to to book a Newborn Session?

We make sure we try and keep spaces for babies that are not booked in during pregnancy. Most often, however, we are fully booked months in advance. BUT, always message us for availability! As we don't want to disappoint.

What is the turn around on my images?

You will be able to view your images in around 2 weeks after your actual session with us at your viewing/ordering appointment. We also have lots of beautiful samples of products we offer in the studio so you can see what you would like on your walls at home! We also do a sneak peek on our social media pages either the same day as the shoot or the next day. With your permission of course

Where is the studio?

Your session will take place in our private and cozy Wirral baby photography studio on the Wirral, Merseyside. Just bring yourself and your newborn/siblings and rest assured that the studio is fully stocked with all the necessary props, toiletries, and snacks to keep you comfortable throughout your session. We will also email newborn prep info before your session takes place.

Who supplies all the cute hats/headbands/outfits for our newborn?

We do! In our studio you will find a large supply of hats, headbands, wraps, outfits, specialist and professional props, lighting and backdrops that we can play with. What should we wear for the family pictures? I want you to feel comfortable so I suggest wearing clothes that you can move freely in. I also recommend soft, solid colors, avoiding prints, logos and patterns so that we can keep the focus on you all and the baby. We will discuss all details before your actual shoot.
